12.21.14

 Lectio: Lk 1.46-56

Meditatio: "His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him.” Lk 1.50

Oratio: O God, You mercy is without limit and without end.

I remember when Mary recited her canticle, she proclaimed that Your mercy was from age to age and so it is and so we are blest. Pray that we may always be in reverential awe of God for that is what is meant by fearing the Lord. And His mercy will be ours.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
 God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect:"mercy...fear him”; God’s mercy is without limit to time or place or to people and all that He asks is that we be in reverential awe of Him. Seek the grace to be merciful to others as God is merciful for that is the sure way of receiving His mercy.

Tomorrow's reading: Lk 1.57-66
