Lectio:   Jn 16.23b-28                                           
                 
Meditatio: "For the Father himself loves you, because you loved me and have come to believe that I came from God.”Jn 16.27

Oratio:  "O God, how kind and generous You are!                                                       

I remember Jesus told His disciples that because they believed in Him that You would love them. How kind! You give us Your love not because of anything we do for You,  but simply because we love and believe in Your Son.  In prayer thank God for the gift of faith and for the undeserved love which God gives us.                                                                   

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father  and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
   
Operatio: reflect on "Father...loves you....believe....came...God” The Father loves us without any merit on our part. Seek the grace to believe in Jesus always so that we will always bask in the Father’s love now and forever.
