 Lectio    Jn 14.7-14

Meditatio: "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.” Jn 14.14

Oratio: O God, You have given us Your Son to help us and we are most grateful.

I remember Jesus said that if we ask in His name, He will do it. Now this does not mean that Jesus is  like a magician for us; rather it means that if we are in concert with Jesus, what we ask, is what He knows is best for us and that He will do. In prayer seek to do the Will of God and all things will be accomplished that the Lord wants to do through you.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: "ask...name....do it”’ to ask in one’s name, means that you are in concert with the one you are asking and that is why Jesus said He will do it for us. Seek the grace to be at one with the Lord so that His will and Your will are in sync and Jesus will do what You ask of Him and you will find what you are asking, is what is best for you..

 Tomorrow's reading: Jn 15.1-8
