Lectio:   Jn 17.1-11a                                                                                 
                 
Meditatio: "Now this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”  Jn 17.3

Oratio:  "O God, in Your great love for us unending life begins in the here and the now.      

I remember Jesus in His prayer to You said that eternal life is to know you and to know Him. I pray that my knowing You and Him will be reflected in my love for both of You and others.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father  and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
   
Operatio: reflect on "eternal life...know you...and..Jesus“; eternal life is in the knowing of the Father and Jesus.  Seek the grace to realize that “knowing” means loving and serving God for that is how eternal life starts in the here and the now.
