5.19.15

Lectio:   Jn 17. 11b-19

Meditatio: "Consecrate them in the truth.”  Jn 17.19a

Oratio:  "O God, Your Son so much wanted all of us to come to You.

I remember  in His prayer to You He asked You to ‘consecrate them in the truth’ knowing that if they were truth, then in all they would do they would act as Your children to Your delight and for their good. Pray that you may accept the consecration in truth.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father  and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "consecrate....truth“; to be consecrated means to be dedicated and set aside for truth and the truth will set us free to give praise and thanks as we ought and in our small way to please God as we should. Seek the grace to do so.

Tomorrow's reading: Jn 17.20-26
