5.31.15

Lectio:  Mk 12.1-12

Meditatio: "But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours’.” Mk 12.7

Oratio: O God, how we treated Your Son, yet You did not abandon us!

I remember the religious leaders put Him to death because He was a threat to their power. Yet You did not abandon them, but through His death and resurrection brought salvation to all the world.  In prayer express your gratitude, your great gratitude for Jesus and for His Father’s and the Holy Spirit’s love for all of us .

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: “heir...kill him” the religious leaders conspired successfully to put Jesus to death but their plans to preserve their hegemony failed;  and we were all gifted with the Way to eternal life. Seek the grace to follow the Way of Jesus for He so much wants all to be saved.
Tomorrow's reading: Mk 12.13-17
