5.05.11

Lectio: Jn 6.1-15

Meditatio: “When the people saw the sign he had done, they said, ‘This is truly the Prophet, the one who is to come into the world’.” Jn 6.14

Oratio "O God, You know our need to touch, to hear, to see in order to believe - and You respond to that need.

I remember Jesus multiplied 5 loaves and 2 fish and fed 5000 and the crowd proclaimed Him, ‘the prophet, the one who is to come into the world’.
Grant that I may always open to the many signs of Your presence, of Your desires, of Your love, of Your protection.
I ask this of You who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on the recent signs God has given us of His presence and His desires? Fatima comes to mind. On October 13, 1917 the sun danced as the sign to the world of our Lady appearing and of the authenticity of her call to pray the rosary, to make the first Saturday devotions, to pray for peace and conversion of our hearts. Resolve to heed her call and to spread devotion to Our Lady of Fatima and urge response to her message.

Tomorrow’s reading: Jn 6.16-21
